CPR-is learning it important? PLUS Miami CPR training schedule.

Do you know the importance of knowing CPR? Many studies show CPR to be effective in children, adolescents, and adults who suffer non-traumatic cardiac arrest.  According to the AHA (American Heart Association), less than 1/3rd of individuals suffering from out of hospital cardiac arrest receive the help they need on time because bystanders are not trained in CPR or are afraid of doing it incorrectly.

Would you know what to do if your child or loved one went into cardiac arrest? When a person goes into sudden cardiac arrest, CPR can double or triple chances of survival.

Already trained in CPR but need a refresher? Here are the current CPR basics as outlined by the AHA: CPR Basics

Want to learn the basics of CPR and live in the Miami area?

Nicklaus Children's Hospital

Nicklaus Children’s Hospital (formerly Miami Children’s Hospital) offers all kinds of CPR courses.  Their basic CPR course is $20.00 per participant and is offered in both English and Spanish. A small price to pay for a very valuable skill! It is offered both at the Main Campus and at Babies R Us.  Below are the remaining dates for 2015 training. Reservations are required.  Social Parenting recently partook in a demo of their basic CPR class during the Big City Moms event and it was AWESOME! Linda, the coordinator, was upbeat and a great teacher! We highly recommend taking this course.  This is an especially wonderful course for new parents, babysitter, and caretakers.  This would also make a wonderful gift for an expectant parent!
